My career to date has involved working within both the NHS and private sector.
Beginning my career within an acute hospital setting allowed me to gain experience in all of the areas of physiotherapy before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. After spending years treating patients for musculoskeletal conditions in both NHS and private settings, I gained the opportunity to work within hand therapy.
I have spent the last 7 years working in hand therapy managing all varieties of conditions, ranging from chronic conditions to acute and post operative management.
Specialising in hand therapy has given me the opportunity to focus my professional development in one area, enabling my assessments and treatment modalities to be refined and effective.
My assessment and treatment revolve around each person and what their expectations and goals are.
I am described by my colleagues and patients as being caring and importantly I have a true passion for what I do.
Outside of work, I like to keep myself healthy and fit with running and HIIT training.
