Urgent or Life Threatening Conditions

Please note that for any urgent or life-threatening conditions, we always recommend that you should call 999 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. We are usually able to provide face to face or remote appointments with our GP’s within 24 hours. Please contact 01442 331 900 to book an appointment.

At your appointment

During your visit to OSD Healthcare, you will be asked to complete patient registration, medical history and consent forms. Our patient services team will be on hand to answer any questions or provide any assistance you need.

It is important that we know of any allergies you may have or medications you are taking so please bring along your most recent repeat prescription list (or your actual medication, if that is easier).

NHS GP

If you would like the details of your visit(s) to OSD Healthcare shared with your NHS GP or other healthcare professionals, you will need to provide us with their contact details so please have this information to hand. You do not have to share details about your visit to OSD Healthcare with your NHS GP – it is entirely up to you.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel your appointment, we ask for 24 hours notice. If the appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a fee of 50% of the appointment cost will be charged. Please note, private consultant fees are at the discretion of the consultant.

Payment

Initial and follow up consultations – Prices quoted are for consultations only. Any further diagnostic tests, treatments or procedures carried out at OSD Healthcare will be billed at an additional cost and are subject to hospital fees, dependent on the service.

If you are using your private medical insurance, please bring along your policy details including your scheme details, membership or policy number, expiry date and confirmation of eligibility to claim (i.e. your authorisation number). You will be asked to provide your credit or debit card details, this is to cover any shortfalls or excess payments liable to you. If you do not have these details with you, we will require payment from you on the day.

Preparation

Ahead of your visit, please review your confirmation e-mail. This will include any further details specific to your visit such as any preparation required e.g. particular type of clothing to wear or any fasting instructions.

Test Results

Following your visit, any test results will generally be sent back to your referring clinician within 48 hours of your appointment.

We hope you now have a better picture of what to expect when you visit us. As always, you can contact our patient services team on 01442 331 900 if you have any further questions around your upcoming appointment.
