Mr Vijayan is a certified Consultant Plastic Surgeon, and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England. He qualified from medical school in London in 2008 with a first class intercalated degree in Endocrinology (hormonal and metabolic health), and subsequently worked in over 20 hospitals during his training, spanning London, Oxfordshire and Sussex. After general post-graduate training in medicine and surgery, he undertook specialist training in plastic surgery at the Queen Victoria hospital in East Grinstead, Royal London hospital, Royal Free hospital, Chelsea & Westminster hospital, and Guys & St Thomas’ hospital. This culminated in a sub-specialty fellowship period, before taking up a Consultant Plastic Surgeon NHS post in Stevenage.
During his career he has published 40 academic articles, presented nationally and internationally on 20 occasions, and he continues to play an active role in training the next generation of surgeons. He has won teaching and innovation awards as well as a place on the NHS clinical entrepreneur programme. He has visited prestigious plastic surgery units at home and abroad, including South Korea and Taiwan, in order to broaden his expertise.
His lifelong interest in wellness, fitness and sustainable living shapes his aesthetic practice. He believes in natural, well balanced and proportioned results, where surgery complements health and confidence. He is naturally creative, and well respected for his artistry, clear communication and down to earth demeanour.
