Daniel Apostol is a supporter and promoter for the implementation of research and evidence into physiotherapy practice. What does this mean? It means that he combines his clinical expertise with the most up to date and trusted clinical evidence available to offer the best possible outcome for you and what you want to try and achieve. His treatment often includes, strength and mobility exercises, manual therapy (also known as hands-on therapy) and education. Importantly, each treatment session is individual to you and your specific situation, supporting and helping your pain to decrease and restoring your function.
An additional strength and conditioning certification will mean that if you come and see Daniel, you won’t find you are just given a boring sheet of exercises and told to do them all 10 times and 3 sets for the next 2 months. Instead it will be scientifically based on the current stage of your condition/cause of pain, your health and fitness, your strength and movement, your level of pain and your motivation. Daniel can use a wide variety of interventions to help you safely return to the activities you previously enjoyed, sports you loved and just as importantly, everyday life.
Daniel’s areas of special interest include orthopaedics, athletic injuries, sports medicine, running relating injuries, tendon rehabilitation with patients of all ages and abilities from acute injuries to chronic injuries and from pre-surgical (pre-rehabilitation) to post-surgical rehabilitation.
In 2023 he received his Master Diploma (MSc) in Advanced Physiotherapy at University of Hertfordshire (Neuromusculoskeletal). This enables him to treat spine, upper and lower limb pain and problems with additional confidence and knowledge. The course has taught Daniel to use a whole body/mind approach and work with each person individually, in order to reach their goals and have fun while you are doing that!
Daniel strives to provide individualized and evidence-based care to help patients resume the activities and lifestyles they enjoy; there is always a plan for you!
Daniel enjoys seeing patients across a range of ages from pre-teen to the older adult and everyone in between!
Daniel’s passion for health and wellness, along with his desire to help others towards their goals is demonstrated in both his professional career and his life outside of the clinic.
Daniel enjoys staying active by running, keep an eye out, you might spot him on the road! His love of running has fuelled his special interest in rehabilitating people back to sport, from weekend warriors to team athletes.
In his spare time, Daniel enjoys travelling, and spending time with his wife and amazing dog, friends and family. Guess what, when he’s not doing an activity, you will likely find him watching it, especially Premier League and NFL games!
