Dr Arun Rajendran is a highly regarded Consultant Gastroenterologist with over a decade of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive disorders. His areas of expertise include bowel polyps, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), reflux, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). He offers comprehensive outpatient care alongside advanced endoscopic procedures in a private setting.

After graduating in 2001, Dr Rajendran pursued specialist training in gastroenterology in North West London. He later undertook a prestigious three-year research and teaching fellowship at St Mark’s Hospital, renowned globally as a centre of excellence for bowel disease. In 2020, he was awarded a research MD from King’s College London for his work on the learning curve of colonoscopic polypectomy, a key technique in preventing colorectal cancer. His research achievements have been recognised with accolades such as the NIHR CLAHRC Support Award, the ASGE Cook Medical Marsha Dreyer Award, and the BSG Best Teaching Abstract Award.

A passionate educator, Dr Rajendran is a Senior Clinical Teacher at Imperial College London and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Brunel Medical School. He actively contributes to advancing gastroenterology through clinical trials, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at national and international conferences, focusing on cancer prevention, endoscopy training, and IBD management.

Since 2018, Dr Rajendran has served as a full-time Consultant in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine at Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he also leads endoscopy training.

Dr Rajendran is fluent in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada, enabling effective communication with patients from diverse backgrounds.
