Your health assessment and treatment will be tailored to you and your specific concerns. Sessions often centre on bladder and pelvic floor re-training to improve incontinence, muscle weakness or overactivity. Our expert physiotherapist has years of experience with these conditions and offers a discreet, professional and confidential service to help improve or resolve them. We work closely with our in-house urology, gynaecology and oncology consultants and GPs, and accept referrals from external medical professionals as well as directly from patients. We have access to a comprehensive diagnostic department and are able to use an ultrasound machine to give real-time visual feedback.

Our women’s and men’s health physiotherapist treats people experiencing issues associated with their bladder and urinary tract. This is a wide-spread issue as:

  • 50% of women will experience bladder weakness following child birth.
  • the pelvic floor muscle can weaken as you get older, and menopause also changes bodily functions.
  • 1 in 10 men over 40 years’ old experience incontinence; up to 50% are affected by erectile dysfunction.
  • 16% of men over 18 years’ old have an overactive bladder

Our service is for:

Women – whether you have had a baby, or not; whether you are pre- or post-menopausal.

Men who are due to have, or have already had, prostate surgery. It has been proven that specific pre-surgery exercise programmes can decrease post-surgery bladder and erectile issues.

If you are affected by these issues, please seek help from us today.
