Bruxism (also known as tooth grinding) is an involuntary behaviour that can cause jaw pain, headaches, tooth wear, gum sensitivity, and/or chipped teeth.

You may have tried conventional approaches to changing this behaviour, with little or no success. Botulinum toxin (Botox), has proven effective as a treatment for grinding teeth.

FAQs

A small amount of the product will be injected into the muscles responsible for moving your jaw – most likely the masseter muscle. The botulinum toxin will reduce the force of clenching and will also help with any accompanying tension and aches in your head that you may be experiencing. The treatment usually takes effect in 3 days after injection (but can take up to two weeks), and the effects could last 3 to 6 months.
