Physiotherapy Services

Our in-house facilities include a rehabilitation gym and treatment rooms that are well equipped, air conditioned, spacious and luxurious. With easy access to medical staff and diagnostic equipment, we are part of a cohesive, multidisciplinary team. Here at OSD Healthcare, your treatment will be as individual as you are.

Hand Therapy at OSD Healthcare provides individualised, one on one treatment, for people who are experiencing problems with their hands and/or wrists.

Your issue may be new, long standing, include single or multiple areas, you may have had surgery or are trying to avoid the need for surgery. We recognise that hand and wrist injuries are often complex and that is why we have a dedicated service providing specialist care to help achieve the best possible outcomes.

The aim of shockwave therapy is to deliver an energetic, mechanical shockwave that triggers a response in the affected area. The shockwave accelerates the healing process of injured tissue, remodels scar tissue and breaks down calcification.

Our experts use an EMS Swiss Dolarcast radial shockwave machine.

Our physiotherapists are experts in assessing how someone is moving, what muscles are being used and what can be optimised to enable them to move better or be stronger. Combined with our state-of-the-art gait scanner, we use 2D and 3D information to obtain a complete understanding of the issue.

Information from the physical assessment and gait scan helps to create an advanced rehabilitation programme and determine whether orthotics may help to optimise movement and reduce or prevent pain.

Proud partners of OHI International who offer further expertise and a wide range of orthotics, suitable for different types of footwear.

Neurological Physiotherapy provides individualized, one on one treatment, for people who have neurological disorders or who have had a neurological injury, with the primary focus of restoring function and improving overall quality of life.

Based on their quality and patient outcomes, Ossur are global leaders in non-invasive orthopaedics. We are proud to be a preferred provider and fitting clinic for their off-the-shelf and customised knee braces.

The Unloader One knee brace can be used for uni-compartment osteoarthtritis (OA). Over 8 years of research demonstrates the positive effects it has for people with OA knee pain, often delaying or even avoiding surgery in many cases.

We also fit knee braces following meniscal, cartilage or ligament injury, or as a preventative measure if you are involved in high impact/risk sport e.g. motor cross, wake boarding, skiing.

Our Alter G, anti-gravity treadmill uses NASA Differential Air Pressure technology and is a fitting solution for many. From athletes who want to push their training that step further, individuals recovering from injuries, or even for those with neurological conditions who may not know what it feels like to walk. It truly is a piece of fantastic technology which can offer a solution to so many people.

The Alter G provides:

  • Gentle unweighting from 100% to as low as 20% body weight
  • Supports your normal walking or running biomechanics
  • Provides gait data and visual feedback to improve your experience
  • Enhances confidence for those who are worried about falling

Whether you’re walking, running, or stretching on the treadmill, it all helps you to recover, maintain and enhance your balance, strength and mobility.
