Using your private medical insurance

OSD Healthcare is recognised by all major health insurance companies and with our extensive range of services, there are lots of benefits to using your insurance with us.

How does it work

  1. Step 1

    You need a referral letter from a GP, Physiotherapist or Dentist to book a diagnostic scan, Consultant appointment, Dentist appointment or Physiotherapy (otherwise your PMI may not cover the cost).* One of our own private GPs at OSD Healthcare can write this letter. Available 7 days a week, you’ll also have the benefit of them being in the same location as our scanning suite so, when you have your authorisation/claim number, we can help you book your appointment promptly, often on the same day. (*Please note that do not need a referral letter for a Consultant, Dentist or Physiotherapy appointment if you decide to pay for treatment yourself without using your insurance.)

  2. Step 2

    Once you have your referral letter please contact your health insurer for your authorisation/claim number. This will act as approval for you to come to OSD Healthcare and let us settle the cost of your treatment with your insurer.

  3. Step 3

    You can book your appointment at a time to suit you. Simply call our dedicated Patient Services team 0330 057 2115 to arrange your appointment.
