- Applying ethical principles
- Importance of advanced care planning and ADRT’s (Living wills)
- Palliative interventions
Description of presentation: Defining palliative medicine and the issues surrounding patients with non-cancer patients who are approaching end of life. What about dementia patients and ethical issues? I will highlight the importance of Advanced Decision to refuse Treatments (ADRT) in patients with capacity. Lastly, what surgical or other interventions can be done for palliative patients that enhance their quality of life?
