Spirometry and FENO tests

Spirometry is a type of pulmonary function test (PFT). A spirometry test measures the amount of air you inhale, the amount of air you exhale and how quickly you exhale. In a spirometry test, your lungs are tested to see how well they are working.  It is used in conjunction with a clinical assessment for the diagnosis, monitoring and supporting management of lung deceases such as Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD) and Asthma. It can also tell your doctor how much damage has occurred within your lungs. We offer basic spirometry lung function test and reversibility test with bronchodilator as per referral.

A Basic Spirometry Test costs £65 and a Reversibility Test costs £85.

Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) is a quantitative, non-invasive, simple and safe method of measuring airway inflammation that provides a complementary tool to other ways of assessing airway disease in asthma patients.  Specifically, FeNO is an objective measurement of allergic/eosinophilic inflammation.

Alongside a detailed clinical history and other important tests to assess variability (e.g. peak flow, reversibility) it is used to support the diagnosis of asthma.  We offer a Feno test for £65.
